Responsible Fatherhood

responsible-fatherhoodFathers make a difference in the lives of their children. The presence and involvement of loving fathers have been proven to have a significant impact in how their children succeed. Children are more likely to do well in school, have healthy self-esteem, exhibit empathy and pro-social behavior than children who have uninvolved fathers.

Dependable and devoted fathering during infancy and early childhood also contributes to emotional security, curiosity, and math and verbal skills. According to the National Fatherhood Initiative there are 5 Characteristics of Effective fathers. They are Self-Awareness, Caring for Self, Fathering Skills, Parenting Skills, and Relationship Skills.  Every child deserves to have an effective father.
